Photos from an amazing trip to one of the most amazing and different landscapes I have visited, the Lençóis Maranhenses national park in Maranhão state in north eastern Brazil. The name itself mean the bedsheets of Maranhão, and you can see why as the dunes take on so many stunning formations. It looks like a desert but between January to June each year the torrential rainstorms fill the area with beautiful lagoons in between the dunes.
